Conversations with a fish

This collection is to commemorate the world premiere of Conversations with a fish @ The Blue Room Theatre’s 2022 Summer Nights. Conversations with a fish is a hilarious series of ‘choose your own adventure dark comedies that activate democracy and provoke deep reflection upon human existence. All told through the metaphor of the fish. Originally developed as part of Yirra Yaakin’s writers group, and read at The Blue Room Theatre as part of Yirra Yaarns NAIDOC week 2021, this world premiere is First Nations artist Helah Milroys writing and directing debut. Featuring a stellar cast of Perth theatre mainstays, Phil Thomson (Bindjareb Pinjarra, Jandamarra) and Bruce Denny (Dating Black, Kangaroo Stew), as well as shining new talents Gabriel Critti-Schnars, Paul Rowe (Genrefonix), Joey Vale and Jimi Fleming (Existence Theatre). With musical composition by up-coming talents David Whyatt and DAbrande Ngoka), supported by live Cellist Camille.
